Very heavy hardstyle stuff ....
Canīt judge it musically, because Iīm more into house.
Pure technically I would try more separate channel compressors instead of one master compressor/limiter. Or just setup ratio and threshold a little bit more conservative - if possible activate band splitting when using multiband compression.
Some sounds make others loose gain, so you get into unintended cross compression (although sometimes it also might be intended...).
Another alternative : Delete some compressor/saturation ( whatever you use) units all over ( or give them a very smooth parameter setup) from the channels and try to get a punchy sound only with the pure instruments, some EQing and manually mixing the levels. Although this might be more tricky, usually it gives good results.
Greetings

i like your 303 use.. i guess it could use more variation in the patterns though..
you know this is recorded like 1000 times too loud though right? i have to turn winamp to like 1% volume... |

Like the useof the bassline. very cool. Maybe its just me (,yes i am a nuub to this plugin,) but i can never seem to make ABL scream so much. any tips on how to make a similar 303 sound, ive made one but i still cant make the infamous 303 SCREAM as much as this demo. its as if i cant get the cutoff/res settings properly. is this where im de-railing or what ?

you will need to overdrive it either with distortion or just simply overgaining it through a desk. If your using software just try runningit through different distorion plugs till you find one you like the sound of. |

hehe yeah i went a bit overboard with the compression on this one
btw that signal is almost totally dry (apart from compression)
i just used the drive and distortion knobs in ABL to make that sound |
