|
|
I'm new to ABL and I'm trying to use pattern mode. I set up my various patterns, but when i trigger them they loop forever, until i click stop with the mouse. is there any way for them to not loop? or at least to end when the midi event ends?
I've read the manual and the forums, and found no answer to my problem.
except
On page 36 of the ABLPro Manual
"Each MIDI note (0-127) corresponds to an ABL Pro pattern. Note on messages start playback of the pattern, and note off message stops playback. MIDI velocity information is not used in this mode. "
what is a "note off" message and how do I send it? I assume a "note on" message is me hitting a key on the midi controller, right? i just want to be able to stop the pattern from looping, this must be possible, right?!
I feel like an idiot asking what should be a really simple question for someone to answer. So please, if you think i'm an idiot, help me be less of one.
Thanks |

That is correct: The pattern should stop playing when you release a key.
What host/computer/version of ABL Pro are you using?

Can any other users running this version confirm that behavior?
