|
|
The 64-bit versions are finally ready. The new versions are meant to install alongside the older 32-bit plug-ins.
The installers contain both 32 and 64-bit versions and are suffixed with an x to distinguish from the older versions (for example ABL2x.dll). This is so not to break any of your projects that might be relying on any older plug-ins.

http://www.audiorealism.se/Downloads/Install_ADM_x64.zip
http://www.audiorealism.se/Downloads/Install_ABLPro_x64.zip
For those users who have installed our plug-ins before please note:
* On Windows the new versions install into My Documents/AudioRealism and into your VstPlugIns folder. If you have a separate 64-bit VstPlugIns folder you can copy any of the .dlls there manually. Patches, skins and extra files are now stored in My Documents
* On Mac the plug-ins are both 32 and 64-bit as fat bundles, so you shouldn't have to worry about which version is supposed to be installed where.
Other changes are minimal to the way the plug-ins should function, but there are some notable differences:
* In ABL2 the pattern analyzer looks different. It is now focused on transcribing 303 and x0x patterns via .wav or .aif files.
* In ADM the sample selection is now done via a file selector. This is more functional and also lets you select multiple samples at once. The limitations of uncompressed 44.1khz 16-bit mono samples is still there.
* In ABL Pro the advanced randomizer is slightly different but more functional as you can pick any notes in the scale you wish to randomize.
There are other minor differences in all plug-ins, the idea here is to keep them as close to the older versions as possible. We will probably see some bugs close after release, but will attempt to fix them as soon as we can reproduce any bugs.
For previous users the new versions should accept your license codes. You can copy your .keys to My Documents or enter your license info again. Please don't bug us about replacing your license keys unless you really have to.
Happy 64-bitting!
The AudioRealism "team"
Edit: After some issues that some users were experiencing we decided to keep the old 32-bit versions on the Download page and mark the new 64-bit as beta as we have not yet tested them will all new hosts. If you run into any issues with the 64-bit versions, please let us know!

Thanks Mike.
What are the release version numbers? I'm getting 2.9.1.1 for ABL2 and 1.3.2 for ADM.
Where do you want any bug reports posting?

| Those are the correct version numbers. Email bug reports or write them here. If you are attaching screenshots or crash logs email them to support@audiorealism.se. |

Hi Mike. First thanks for the update.
But could you please make the "data in My Documents" an option? I honestly liked it better before.
Or make the installer copy or even move all files from the old folder to the personal documents so we don't have to register the plugin again (which surprised me) and have all patterns and skins ready to go.
Also it would be nice if the installer would ask if I want to install the 64bit VST. Perhaps there are some people out there like me who will stay on 32bit for a while. _________________ ThinkPad T500,Core 2 Duo T9600 (2x2,8GHz)/4GB RAM/Radeon HD3650/FireWire 410/Win7 x64

Hi Mike.
I think it was already mentioned:
Some failures for ABL2 64
The knobs drive + distortion, sliders HiPass and Dist Type have no effect when touched anymore.

Messing around with the user's installation as little as possible. Microsoft recommends putting the app data in My Documents (or Application Data), however we didn't want to split the installation into three locations. I agree having all the data under VstPlugIns is preferred sometimes but depending on where the VstPlugIns is located we cannot access write permissions. For example if the users VstPlugIns is under Program Files then we cannot write any files there due to Windows limiting access.
You can manually copy your files from VstPlugIns/AudioRealism to My Documents/AudioRealism and then install the new 64-bit versions and everything should work.

Windows 7 64 bit, Sonar 8.5.3 64 bit (it's in my signature).
I've also tried ABL 64 bit in MuLabs Free 5.0.39 64 bit with the same results.

We haven't tested with Cubase 7 yet. I'll try to get hold of 7.0.2 and troubleshoot this.

These all work fine in Studio One/Windows 7
Guess it must be an issue with some hosts. _________________ Studio One 2.5 64bit / Windows 7 64bit |
