A song should remember all the settings of patterns (303 params, tempo etc)

This is implemented in version 1.1 and later. What version are you running? |
Sorry, yes, this is already implemented, I've confirmed! |

Mike, sweet sweet app as it is but I do have a few requests
1. Export to beatmaker/wav
2. Bigger controls, or better yet have cutoff and res assignable to x-y axis
3. A separate Mixer section for panning
3a. A separate performance mode with mutes for drums and bigger synth controls
4. Decay, pitch, etc for drums (mainly kicks, toms and snares) put it in mixer section?
5. 303 implementation of tie.
6. Render 303 pattern as text file for input into a real 303, or maybe a option to program in "purist mode" exactly as tb-303 because it would make an excellent app for archiving 303 patterns, think of it - load up technoBox and listen to the patterns select one and program it in your 303
I have 3 real 303's and I gotta say you totally nailed the feel with the 303 section, I also have fingerbassline (whose interface I quite like) and DB-303 which is ok but both are nowhere near as accurate as technoBox.
Thats all for now, thanks for creating an authentic 303 app it is clear to me how much detail you put into this, great software.
P.S No to distortion it is a bit passe and overdone now. |

Maybe you should also try the 'regular' ABL2 plugin. It's most excellent in emulating the purist mode of programming and great for archiving your patterns; I've been doing that just as you describe.
Needless to say the sound is just like it should be. _________________ Macbook Pro 5,1 2,4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA 9400/9600M 256 MB; dual boot running OS X 10.7.x / 10.6.x. iPhone 1st gen. 8GB (2 x); iPhone 3GS. |

Thanks for the tip, but I don't use a computer for music, if I did though I would definately get it as I have heard so many positive things about it from 303 heads. Can it run standalone? I.E without a host program, the only software I have that supports VST is waveosaur and I don't think it would run on that?
Cheers |

Heh, it wouldn't be for making music, but for administration / archiving purposes.
What platform are you on? For Windows I'd suggest the simple but very usable MiniHost (nagware): http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html _________________ Macbook Pro 5,1 2,4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA 9400/9600M 256 MB; dual boot running OS X 10.7.x / 10.6.x. iPhone 1st gen. 8GB (2 x); iPhone 3GS. |

hello Mike! Wonderful app you have going here! I was just wondering if you planned on implementing the last few items to make this truly an iphone version of ADM and ABL combined? you already have the ABL pretty much cloned completely but i think there are still a few things missing from the drums aspect of things...
1. variables for each indivudal drum sound
2. congas, claves and maracas?!?!? whats an 808 without that claves sound???
3. more then 16 steps?
4. pre-scale?
also, as mentioned before, the ability to export these songs from technobox to a computer and maybe even directly to ADM/ABL itself would be awesome!

I don't have an iPhone but real Tb- 303 and would buy an iPhone and your technobox music app if it had this pattern archive function Daren speaks about.
I have a binder full of tb-303 patterns that I'll prob never input into my 303 again as it takes so much time and the 303 is so limited on pattern space. Then sometimes the 303's batterys die and I loose any new patterns I forgot to write in my binder. Having a pattern back up via iPhone/Technobox seems like it would be way easier as I can hear pattern before I program them on the real deal 303. Also not having to write out what notes, accents, slides, ect. on paper anymore would be a dream.
I don't need distortion or effects or another baseline. Maybe real time play mode if it isn't already in. Your 303 emulation sounds too good to be true. Hope there's another update soon. I better save up some money till then..... |

1st of all congrats on the app!
What i would like to see on technobox are:
1. Export to .wav . This would make us involve in the app more seriously since we would be able to make real tracks and share them. Plus, imagine the marketing impact when some techno (with the amazing Audiorealism sound) tracks "made in technobox" would circulate around...
2. The drums section must be refined. We need to edit the volume, pitch for each of the sounds...
3. A better "visual" sequencer perhaps? |

You could implement the ioLibrary API from Amidio so that beats and 303/drum lines could be transferred to Beatmaker .... or for transferring the .wav outputs that was requested earlier to a computer.
Or with your new Technobox (S) for the 3GS for users to upload their OWN
samples for the drum machine!
Other benefits, looks like they are working on a iPhone Midi Syncing API as part of this, so one user could use Beatmaker, another could be using Technobox and the 3rd could be using Noise.IO or something like thatl,
and all 3 could be synced to the same clock via Bluetooth.
Syncing 2 Technoboxes would be cool, but syncing with any other app that uses the ioLibrary API is even COOLER!
Also, a minor cool, thing, it also provides this:
- direct SoundCloud.com export (via the SoundCloud API) so you can post your finished 303 masterpieces to Soundcloud directly from the iPhone
Of course, I'm not sure the licensing costs that Amidio is asking but is a very useful tool.
Cheers,
Dave |

| Would be cool to be able to export pattern to wav and to other audiorealism products. |

The only thing I'm missing is exporting and importing patterns.
Most other features suggested in this thread goes way above me. Don't get me wrong but I would like technoBox to stay simple and fun.

+1 for pre-scale on the drum patterns
or
have the ability to choose pattern length. perhaps keeping a max of 16 steps and greying out any steps that aren't required?
please |
