Hi all,
Want to record the ABL's sequencer midi out It's activated it on the ABL but open a new midi track, select midi from the ABL channel and all I get is the notes that are trigggeriing the ABL patterns and only selectable options under midi in are pre/post fx.
Macbook Pro 2.4 OSX 10.4.11
ABL 2.1.0r
Live 7.0.12 |

check your config.ini in the plugin folder
this needs to be there to activate midi-out on channel 1
| Code: | MidiOutput = 0
MidiOutputChannel = 0 |
and one thing.. do you use au or vst?
afaik (and i know very little about mac since i'm on pc ) au has no midi-out.
[edit]forget that, in another thread someone said that midi out with the au version works[/edit] _________________ ThinkPad T500,Core 2 Duo T9600 (2x2,8GHz)/4GB RAM/Radeon HD3650/FireWire 410/Win7 x64

Does anyone know if the ABL midi out feature works with Logic?
If so, how is the midi data routed?
thanks! |

Thanks R.A.W. you fixed it ...in a backwards kind of way > turns out the AU DOESN'T output midi but the VST DOES! Who'd-a-thunk? MAybe this should be a sticky or at least in the manual if it isn't already. To the poster above, this would suggest that you'll get no joy in Logic as it's AU-only, although a wrapped vst...who knows.
Mike, is this a Live or an AU issue? Many thanks. |

| AU does output MIDI. It creates an extra midi device that your host should be able to access. I believe MIDI is disabled by default in the AU however as some hosts were not very happy with ABL2 creating a midi port on the fly. |
